Q: What are your hours or operation?
A: 10a - 6p, Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sundays. All locations.

Q: Are the same barbers at the same locations always?
A: No not always, as we take a team approach to the business, and sometimes people get sick or even, go on vacation. You can always select the barber you desire. We encourage you to make your next appointment before you leave your current one.

Q: How can we leave you positive feedback?
A: We are thankful you asked, we encourage to leave feedback as you check-out or on our Google Business pages, we will prompt you at some point to do so.

Q: What if I do not fully like my haircut, service, trim, etc.?
A: We highly encourage this feedback in real-time, do not leave the chair until you are satisfied with the work. We cannot help if we do not know, & we are here to provide the best experience possible.

✂️ BOOKING & BARBERS

Q: How do I book an appointment?
A: Easy—head to blackorchidbarbers.com, choose your shop, pick your barber, and lock in your time. Online booking keeps it clean.

Q: Can I choose my barber?
A: Of course. Every one of our barbers brings their own flavor. You vibe with someone? Stick with ’em. Want to try someone new? That’s cool too.

Q: What if I do not know any of your barbers?
A: Looks like you’re about to make a new, life-long friend, you can select the barber that’s available at the time you are available.

Q: Do you accept walk-ins?
A: When we can—yes. But we’re often booked solid, especially weekends. You’re always better off grabbing a slot ahead of time.

Q: What’s your cancellation policy?
A: Life happens. Just cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours out. Late cancellations and no-shows? You’ll be charged. Respect time—yours and ours.

Q: Do you have a phone number I can call?
A: We have a phone at each location, but do we answer it? Rarely. That’s not because you’re not important to us, it’s just we are focused on another client’s experience when you’re calling. We know you can appreciate that too.

💈 SERVICES & STYLE

Q: What kind of services do you offer?
A: Clean cuts, hot towel shaves, beard detailing, straight razor work, and damn good grooming advice. Some of us do enhancements and scalp therapy too. All cuts are precision-first, no shortcuts.

Q: How much do your services cost?
A: Depends on what you need and who you book with. Each barber sets their own rates. Everything’s visible when you book—no surprises.

Q: Do you cut kids’ hair?
A: We do—for kids who can sit still and are ready for the barbershop experience. No cartoons. No baby talk. A few high fives. Just sharp cuts, for little legends.

Q: Do you offer beard trims or full shaves?
A: Absolutely. Whether it’s a quick clean-up or a full hot towel, straight razor ritual—we’ve got you. Beards are sacred around here (as are tattoos).

Q: I don’t know what style I want. Can you help?
A: 100%. Our barbers are trained to read hair, face shape, and vibe. Bring inspo or trust the process—we’ll make it work.

🏙️ LOCATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Q: Where are your locations?
A: We’re growing—but you’ll find us in the heart of Carmel inside MDG Salon, SoBro next to Upland, inside 16Tech, just off Mass Ave, & at Keystone at the Crossing. Each shop has the same energy: craft-first, community-built, and unapologetically stylish. More locations to be added soon.

Q: Is there parking?
A: Yep—plenty of it. Goodness, we would hope so.

Q: What’s the vibe like inside?
A: Think vintage soul meets modern swagger. Good music. Good people. Zero egos. Just clean fades and great conversations worth having.

Q: Are your barbers licensed?
A: Every one of them, yes. Some even help train the next generation through our Barber Apprenticeship Program. Iron sharpens iron.

Q: Do you sell products?
A: Yes—and we only carry what we actually use. Hair, beard, and skincare products that perform, not just look cool on the shelf.

Q: Do you offer gift cards?
A: We do—physical and digital. Perfect gift for the person who deserves better than a chain-store fade.

Q: Any loyalty programs or referral perks?
A: Stay tuned. We’re rolling out a new system with real rewards. For now, bring a friend, leave a review, and good karma tends to come back around.

Q: I want to learn the craft. Can I train at Black Orchid?

Q: Can I cut my own hair between appointments?
A: Sure—if you’re trying to learn the hard way that symmetry is harder than it looks.

Q: Should I bring in a blurry photo of Brad Pitt from 2002 and say, “Make me this”?
A: You can. But unless your name is also Brad and you’ve got Hollywood lighting and bone structure, let’s chat first.

Q: What if I just wear a hat instead of getting a haircut?
A: Bold strategy. Let us know how that works out on date night.

Q: Can I use Gorilla Glue as edge control?
A: That’s a lawsuit, not a style. Please don’t.

Q: My uncle has clippers. Should I let him fade me?
A: Only if you also let him do your dental work.
